FOR PARADISE, I sought in sea and sky in elements of water and in air in earth as well, on plains and valleys fair on lofty mountain peaks where ravens cry and only echoes off of stone reply I sought in flames consuming wheat and tare and in the garments that the heavens wear whose jeweled folds great distances belie great distances that do perhaps enfold among their azure fabrics and their blue the Paradise that prophets have foretold whose holy writ for all I know is true but when you at last I did behold I finally bid my bootless quest adieu the Tree of Life does now fresh leaves unfold before my eye, bedecked with morning dew I’d still be poor to gain the world’s gold and lose the Paradise I found in you
Whether interior or exterior, whoever is the recipient of your love letters, is fortunate indeed.
☺️
You did not see me,
I was in the sky and sea,
Paradise found thee.
Really wonderful!
